Google Business Profile

Suspended, Missing, or
Just Not Showing Up

We find what actually caused it, fix it at the source, and handle the appeal. $499 one time — no monthly retainer.

Listing suspended right now?

Don’t file another appeal yet. If you appeal without fixing what triggered the suspension, it usually gets rejected again — and repeated rejections make the next one harder.

Find the cause first. It’s almost always something you can fix.

We’ve been here

My own business’s listing was suspended. Twice rejected on appeal.

A real Wilmington trade business — real insurance, real customers, real trucks. Google decided the business didn’t exist and took the listing down. Two self-service appeals came back rejected.

The cause turned out to have nothing to do with Google. It was our own website:

  • Structured data listing a postal code that didn’t match the Google profile
  • Map coordinates truncated so they pointed roughly 60 miles out into the Atlantic
  • No business address displayed anywhere on the site
  • A footer link pointing at a map pin 20 miles from the actual location

None of it was visible on the page. All of it was live, and all of it was telling Google the business wasn’t where it claimed to be.

Same business. Same trucks. The only thing that changed was that the website finally agreed with the listing.

What Usually Causes a Suspension

In our experience it’s rarely arbitrary. Google is checking whether your business is verifiably real and consistently described. These are the usual culprits.

Your website contradicts your listing

Different address format, wrong postal code, a unit number on one and not the other, or structured data pointing somewhere else entirely. This is the most common one and the least obvious.

No address anywhere on your site

If Google can’t corroborate your location from your own website, it has nothing to verify against.

A virtual office, mailbox or coworking address

Google requires a real staffed location or a properly configured service-area business. “Suite” or “Unit” on a shipping-store address is a common trigger.

Category or service-area mismatches

Claiming categories you don’t serve, or a service area wildly larger than plausible, both draw scrutiny.

Keyword stuffing in the business name

“Smith Plumbing — Best Emergency Plumber Wilmington NC” is a violation. The name field is for your actual registered name.

Inconsistent details across directories

Old addresses or dead phone numbers on Yelp, BBB, Facebook and chamber listings all feed the same verification check.

What We Do About It

Step 01

Diagnose the real cause

We compare your listing against your website, your structured data, and your major directory listings, and find what’s actually contradicting what.

Step 02

Fix the source

Correct the schema, add the address, fix the coordinates, align the name and address everywhere. Appealing before this step is why appeals fail.

Step 03

Document and appeal

A written submission with your supporting documentation and a clear account of what was wrong and what changed — the version a human reviewer can act on.

Step 04

Build the profile out properly

Categories, services, hours, description, photos, review setup. Once it’s back, it should be working for you, not just existing.

Not suspended, just invisible?

The same work applies

Plenty of listings are live but half-finished — wrong categories, no services listed, three photos from 2019, no reviews. For a local business a complete profile is often the highest-return thing you can fix, because someone searching your service in your town is ready to buy right now.

Same price, same process, minus the appeal.

Being straight with you: Google controls the appeal timeline and the final decision. We document thoroughly and we fix the underlying cause, which is what gives an appeal its best chance — but nobody honest will guarantee reinstatement, and you should be wary of anyone who does.
