The headline: Two thousand people following the work and no route from interest to enquiry. Anyone searching locally found competitors exclusively.

- Wholesale prices listed higher than retail sale prices on the same page
- Copyright notice five years out of date
- Two out-of-stock items featured as homepage best sellers
- No phone number, email or address anywhere on the site

The headline: Trade buyers evaluating them as a supplier were quoted more than consumers pay. A pricing error sitting on the busiest page of the site.

Local service — trade contractor
- Structured data listing a postal code that didn't match the Google profile
- Map coordinates placing the business 60 miles offshore in the Atlantic
- No business address displayed anywhere on the site
- Footer link pointing to a map pin 20 miles from the real location
The headline: The Google listing had been suspended as “business doesn't exist” and two appeals were already rejected. Nobody had checked whether the website agreed with the listing. It didn't.

Trades — electrical contractor
- Homepage never named the city or county served
- Every service crammed onto one page
- Phone number set as an image, so mobile users couldn't tap to call
- No schema markup of any kind
The headline: A good-looking, well-built site that was invisible for local searches. Nothing was broken — it just never told Google where it worked.

Retail — home furnishings
- Product reviews not enabled anywhere
- Meta descriptions duplicated across 40+ products
- Showroom hours listed differently in three places
- No local business schema despite a physical showroom
The headline: A real showroom Google didn't know existed, and product pages competing against each other because they all said the same thing.

Restoration & property services
- Clear service pages, sensible structure, fast loading
- Google Business Profile claimed, verified and active
- Minor: three images missing alt text
- Opportunity: no FAQ schema, missing a rich-result chance
The headline: We told them the site was in good shape and didn't need rebuilding. Three small fixes, about an hour of work. We don't invent problems.
A note on privacy. Business names are removed from every sample. We don't publish a client's problems without permission, and we won't publish yours either.
