We Learned This the
Hard Way First

Crispline Digital is run by someone who also runs a trade business — and who fixed his own website before charging anyone else to fix theirs.

The short version

I also run a trade business

Here in Wilmington — trucks, equipment, crews and real customers. That's the day job, and it's why I understand what a trade business actually needs from a website — and what it doesn't.

A while back my Google listing got suspended. “Business doesn't exist.” Two appeals rejected. I had a real company, real insurance, real customers, and Google had decided I wasn't there.

What I found

The problem wasn't Google. It was my own website.

My site's structured data listed a postal code that didn't match my Google profile. My map coordinates were truncated, placing my business about sixty miles out in the Atlantic Ocean. My footer linked to a map pin twenty miles from where I actually work. And my address appeared nowhere on the site at all.

None of it was visible. All of it was live, and all of it was telling Google my business wasn't where I said it was.

I fixed it. Then I started looking at other local businesses' sites and found the same category of problem everywhere — invisible, costly, and completely fixable.

Why it matters to you

I'm not a marketing agency

I'm a contractor who learned the technical side because I had to. When I tell you your alt text is hurting you, or your schema contradicts your Google listing, it's not a sales pitch — it's the same list I worked through on my own business, on my own money, before I charged anyone a dollar.

That's also why we don't lock anyone in. I've been on the other side of a vendor relationship. You own your site, your domain, and your Google profile. Always.

What happened next

Then I fixed it — and watched what happened

Before the fixes, I wasn’t ranking in the top 20 for anything. Not one of my service categories.

After correcting the structured data, the address, the coordinates and the profile, I moved into the top 5 or 6 for three of my five categories — a couple as high as position 1.

Same business. Same trucks. Same work. The only thing that changed was that my website finally told the truth about where I was and what I did.

That’s the entire pitch. Most local businesses aren’t losing to better competitors — they’re losing to their own broken data.
